At this rate, Haverhill is going to be the starting point guard for Iowa State next season.

Expected Demi/Ashton appearances at Hilton are gonna blow the shazbot! out of our expected Lachey appearances.

Just imagine the buzz when Haverhill and Little White Pig Boy square off in the Iowa State/Oklahoma State matchup.

Yeah, will be a good day to watch bball all day froggot.

Wow... that comment is burned in your brain for the rest of your life.  I apologize for all the damage I've done.

Yeah, I wrote it down to use at times like this after I finally got my own example of your personality disorder LSOC told us all about.

For those who weren't there, during the North Texas game, BMW was in goEMAW chat interjecting himself with ku stats or something.  Chings et al were pointing out what a goofball he was and BMW kept getting angry.  I eventually asked why he was intently watching the EMAW game and participating in goEMAW chat - keep in mind, this is BMW who loves to assert his theory that EMAWs are obsessed w/ku - when it was a beautiful day out, and he responded by telling me that day was his christmas and that he'd be "watching bball all day froggot".  We all lol'd.  Ben used the chat pm function to apologize and say he said that out of character, not that any of us gave a shazbot!, and then he sent me the following regular pm titled "Just wanted to apologize again":

Totally went against my normal behavior and said something stupid.  Nothing personal... I was just irritated with Chingon.  Sorry again, Trim.  I'm leavin' for OKC in a bit and I hope I can buy you a beer or somethin when I get down there.

shazbot!, I just realized BMW shafted me out of a beer!

BOOM!

I have said it once and I will stand by it, Ben hasn't been the same since the Year of the Fluke and subsequent collapse by Mangino's team.  It broke him and his self esteem in ways only a professional would understand.

Sometimes you've got to get worse before you get better.  Good job "The Mayor".

This all has to be some ISU academic conspiracy to rid their school of BB.

iowa state right now is what kstate would've been if kstate would've hired steve henson or some other loser three years ago. things will be awkward for all involved when they have to fire him in a few years. going to be just amazing to watch as an innocent bystander though.

Yeah, this could not be going better

Yeah. I was way wrong about the Mayor. He's built a solid program there and his use of transfers has been fantastic.

I did not mock ISU for the hire, their program was absolutely in the toilet when they hired him so why not. But before we get the ticket tape parade ready he just won back to back road games for the very first time and it's been almost five full seasons and his best conference finish is tied for 3rd. I think he gets more credit than he deserves because of their style of play but you legitimately have to question if that style of play is placing a low ceiling on what they can accomplish.

A lot of egg on face in that thread (sys noy included).
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

He is about to follow up a 3rd place Big 12 finish with (at least) a 2nd place finish. He's got a Sweet 16. He's recruited some pretty good HS players and his use of the college version of free agents has been fantastic. I think he's getting better every year and as long as he doesn't jump to the NBA, ISU is going to be a great program for years to come. I understand why you dislike Iowa State and their fans, but Hoi is really good; maybe the 2nd best coach in this league right now.

Really?  They won the conference tournament championship and made the sweet 16 last season (without taking into account Niang's injury).  That doesn't seem all that ceilingy.  He's making solid progress.  12th to 3rd to 4th to 3rd with better postseason results and now he's in 2nd with four very winnable games left.

Last year was their best year and this year is looking better.

My dislike for ISU has nothing to do with the factual arguments I made. He has won back to back road games once in five seasons, once. And I'm not sure why we're giving him second place but even if they do ISU isn't close to being considered a great program. Was Missouri great under Norm Stewart? Because if ISU builds up to that they should be happy. Five seasons isn't a small sample size, they've been okay in five seasons. Having to replace 3 starters every season and not playing any defense is absolutely risky and I'm sot sure that is the correct formula to becoming great.

The road wins, roster flux, and defense are legit points.

Still, having Top 10 offenses every year and playing at a fun pace would be fun to watch as a fan. Plus he's won a tournament game every year he's been there, which is nice. He's basically on track to building a similar program to what Frank built here.

I really don't take any stock in winning the conference tournament, it means you were one of the best four teams in the conference. Don't get me wrong I wish we had one but I don't think it should be used as a measurement on how good your program is. Their record the past four seasons has been in descending order, currently 10-4, 11-7, 11-7, 12-6. They will finish with either 5 or 6 losses this year, they have been amazing steady. They don't play defense, they don't win road games, and they turn over their roster every single year. It's reasonable to wonder if this is what they are. I didn't say they were bad but I question just how much better they'll be.

Who the hell wouldn't, what kind of measurement is that? I'd rather eat dinner at So Long than from Dara's.
