Our mods and admins are pretty cool, for the most part, but what happens when you ask saul and chings for a feature? They spike that crap down like the shitty serve it came on, but why?

I have recently become a admin of a site just like this, and I can tell you guys, wow...some of the features we have asked for are a simple check box. Why do the admins do this? Maybe they are lazy, OR maybe they just want complete control.

So, if you have been beaten down by a mod or admin for a change you requested, ask me ITT and i'll tell you if it is possible so we can find the answer

Squashing requests keeps people in line and keeps expectations at a low/reasonable level. If you changed something everytime someone asked for it you'd have anarchy on your hands.
