The only way kstate is bottom tier is if the tiers are broken down like this

Top - 10 perennial best teams with 90000+ seat stadiums (Bama, LSU, tOSU, OU)
Middle - 10 teams that are okay with 80000+ seat stadiums and have some legacy (Notre Dame, Nubb, UT)
Bottom - Everybody else

I suppose a school like Oregon is an outlier because nike.

That makes 8/10 big 12 teams bottom tier. Similar % for other power 5, except for the ACC which only has 1 non bottom tier job (FSU).

there's gonna be good job openings every year, so to try and time the market is dumb. I mean, KU was up against Michigan and some other big programs and they got David Beattie, so it can be done.
