Snyder was not a wildcat until he moved to Manhattan, coached the football team for decades, made the school relevant in CFB, sent his kids to K-State, donated gobs of money to the school, and had his name etched onto the stadium.  Today, however, I consider him a wildcat.
I feel like being a wildcat is something that you have to earn, pay your dues
like every alumni has done
has coach snyder spent countless hours decorating a homecoming float? nope.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

i was thinking about this today while at latte land.
he didn't go to k-state and has no k-state connections other than his job which we pay him very handsomely for.
he's from iowa and doesn't have kansas state blood.

so, is he truly a wildcat?
I guess the question for me is would this or any other discussion be occurring if it were not for Coach Snyder? You sure wouldn't have one of the most recognized symbols (Powercat) in college football if not for him. Some of you may want to do a recheck of the history of this program pre Coach Snyder.

so a firefighter comes to a j crew factory and puts out a fire in their sewing room, does he automatically own j crew?

it's pretty amazing how loosely some of you throw the term wildcat around, it used to mean something special  and it still means something to me

What's more amazing is how anyone can try to recreate the legacy of K-State football, as though no one with a brain can't look it up.  Before Coach Snyder took over the program, this is what the nation thought of K-State football:

http://www.si.com/vault/1989/09/04/120464/futility-u-kansas-state-winless-since-1986-has-one-claim-to-fame-it-is-americas-most-hapless-team

During the Ron Prince years, the team had a losing record:

If it were not for Coach Snyder, this program would at best be the top team on this list below or would have considered dropping football:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1188460-the-25-worst-college-football-programs-ever/page/13

The question is would there be a K-State Wildcat football program if not for Coach Snyder?

Does anyone else have an unholy addiction to watching One Direction music videos until 4 in the morning? Or is it really just me?

one thing I've noticed in my years of watching sports is that occasionally a coach will start to look like the school mascot. The former temple basketball coach would be a great example. Well if Snyder really was ksu then why doesn't he look like a wildcat?

that picture of stonestreet in front of the union reminds me of all the times as a cat student when i would go to the union and buy a fan loaf of bread for lunch for $1.00 because i was a poor cat student, unlike a person who worked at the university and made millions of dollars per year
