lol at _fan and canary agreeing with steffy when steffy didn't address a damn thing that pissclams said. What steffy did to 'clams post should be used to illustrate what a strawman in for the rest of time.
I believe the quote said they "choose to be old and lazy with the play calling" but I may have read that wrong.  I'll go look at it a third time.

Yep, that's what pissclam said.  Since he only mentioned Snyder and Miller in his post, when he said "they" that's about whom you would naturally assume he was speaking.  But I'm no grammar teacher...anymore.

You should because 'clams was clearly addressing Snyder's loyalty to his washed offensive coordinators. I don't know what the hell that has to do with quarterbacks being hurt.

I don't think anyone is completely washed up.

I do think they may be trying to do stuff that doesn't necessarily fit the pieces they have.

I think quarterback depth and injuries certainly changes how you call offense.

I think that Snyder and his staff have always had a big weakness in over-thinking the game, which often shows up in how they call games.

I think Snyder and his staff have a young offense without a lot of explosive players.

I'm satisfied with 3-0 to this point, but clearly last Saturday showed a ton off issues with this offense that must be fixed unless we just want to (maybe) scrape out 6 wins and bowl eligibility.

I do think some of the issues can be fixed.

I did reread it.  Still stand by my comment. That is what pissclam said.

And I agree that the play calling has been awful or at least the execution of it has been.

This is all part of Snyder's plan.  Lots of people were pointing at Dana as Bill's logical successor but he wants Sean to succeed him, so what does he do?  Hands the offensive keys completely over and let's Dana coach his way out of any HCIW discussion. 'Grats, HOFHCBS.  Nobody in the world wants to see Dana take over now.

Probably not true, but it's fun to think about Bill as a master puppeteer pulling all of these strings behind the curtain.

it's pretty sad to see snyder, who at one point in his career ran college football's most creative offenses, allow himself to be hamstrung by his loyalty to del miller
they know how to do more but instead choose to be old and lazy with the play calling
I'm not sure what I misread.  Care to help me out with that?

And where in that quote was it stated or implied?  He mentioned Snyder and Miller by name.  That is where in my limited reading ability I surmised they meant those two.

The way I read it is if you allow yourself to be hamstrung then you are no longer in control.  There for not linked to the offensive play calling.   :th_twocents:

I'm guessing you think you taught me something there. I would like to agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

Even if it was meant the way steffy went with, there's a huge difference between calling someone lazy and calling the play calling lazy.

No, there really isn't.  It's splitting hairs.
