How many times are people going to say "put in Banks" without rough ridin' knowing he's red shirting. Lazy trolls! :curse:

Wackster, just because someone is red shirting doesn't mean they are, like, hidden away in a box somewhere. They could play him, even though they won't.

You can burn a red shirt at any time dumbass

I like Hubener at QB. He throws a lot of deep balls and has no interceptions. I'm sure he will throw a few at some point, but I like watching him play.

the difference between 3 or 5 conference wins with this team will be razor thin ........I can't remember a single offensive skill player making a dude miss or breaking a tackle ........I mean crist on a crutch...

This team so far seems like a combo of 2010's offense, 2011's resilience/ability to come back, and 2013's proclivity for WTF moments. Not sure what that means but we will probably have a lot of fun and frustrating games like Saturday.

Ya. Weird team. Not that hopeful for our game in Stillwater in two weeks. Might be a fun season, though? Dunno.

Is this the eye test/hot takes/ hyperbole(stats can GTFO) thread?

If so, #75 on D is probably the biggest stud on campus.

Hubes would be a 3rd string QB on half of the Big12's teams.

Cook is Spiderman.

Hubes ran worse than Jake this game.

Our offensive line is horrible at running the ball.  The worst.

i disagree. NDSU might score less but we would certainly score less.

Offensively challenged. Defense is solid.

Defense won't be solid much longer, the offense's ineptitude is going to tire them out.

But it's cool.  I mean, Joe didn't get hurt by running a few more times.

You guys remember 2013 @Ok State? This year's game will be exactly that with less scoring. I even think its the same gametime and weekend of football.

People keep talking about the defense and their run blocking, did any of you see Silmon's rushing stats? Also it seems inconsistent to complain about the offensive play calling and the oline. Should the o line have been able to block all 8 guys in the box because our play calling with regard to the run lacked creativity?

Silmon averaged 4.8 ypc. Jones averaged 4.7. We just need to give up the idea of a fullback as a running back, get Hubener to stop throwing balls into the dirt, and get our receivers to catch passes that hit them between the numbers. Our offense is far less efficient than it should be. That starts with Dana Dimel.

We were dominating when we ran behind the fullback with Silmon.  But for some reason we keep going back to Hubes in Shotgun trying zone reads.  Cats need to start the game running Silmon behind the fullback before the second half.  And if they don't use someone in the Wildcat that the defense has to at least think there might be a pass, you might as well scrap it especially in the redzone.

it's pretty sad to see snyder, who at one point in his career ran college football's most creative offenses, allow himself to be hamstrung by his loyalty to del miller
they know how to do more but instead choose to be old and lazy with the play calling

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
