Speaking at an education town hall in Des Moines on Monday, President Obama said something that some people apparently find surprising.

In response to an audience question about GOP presidential contender Ben Carson's call for the Department of Education to withhold federal funding from colleges that exhibit "extreme political bias," Obama told the crowd he wasn't sure what the candidate meant. But then Obama said some things about political correctness and about inviting non-liberal and even offensive viewpoints on to campus.

This is the heart of what Obama said:

"I’ve heard of some college campuses where they don’t want to have a guest speaker who is too conservative, or they don’t want to read a book if it had language that is offensive to African Americans or somehow sends a demeaning signal towards women,” Obama said Monday while speaking at a town hall meeting at North High School in Des Moines. “I’ve got to tell you, I don’t agree with that either -- that you when you become students at colleges, you have to be coddled and protected from different points of view. Anybody who comes to speak to you and you disagree with, you should have an argument with them, but you shouldn’t silence them by saying you can’t come because I’m too sensitive to hear what you have to say.

Why would I spin his quote? Insomuch as what he said, he's right. He could have also mentioned those asinine "trigger warnings" - in addition to censorship - but I'll cut him some slack because he was speaking off the cuff.

Rather than being instantly shamed, this eternal adolescent was largely lauded in the Twitterverse. And why did this dumbass start driving a pink Barbie car around campus after losing her license to DUI? Because "Riding a bike around campus sucks,” she told MySA.com. “Like really sucks." Like, totally. And don't even get her started with walking. Did it ever occur to this dumbshit that this is going to be the first result on Google whenever she applies for a job?

The answer is to kick these dumbshits out of school or not admit them in the first place, but universities largely stopped being about academic advancement long ago. They are businesses. As long as she (her parents) pays her tuition, and as long as she avoids those microagressions, she's good to go.

Another area Obama didn't address is the proliferation of sexual assault allegations on college campuses due to university feminists' toxic brew of (ironically) encouraging greater promiscuity, while at the same time twisting the definitions of "consent" and "sexual assault" in absurd ways, and removing any vestiges of due process for the accused.

Or as Hillary Clinton recently said, “To every survivor of sexual assault…You have the right to be heard. You have the right to be believed. We’re with you.” A right to be believed?!
