I can get on board with Cook to Zuber.  Also steffy stop posting.

Do you really want to pull the redshirt off a WR with our QB situation right now?  Doesn't make sense.  Not saying our WR's group couldn't use the help, but I would rather save our young WRs for a situation in which we have a more stable situation at QB.  We are potentially one play away (Hubes getting hurt) from playing Zach Davidson at QB.  At that point, it might not matter if we have Jerry Rice at WR.

I would like to know what JUCO receivers we're targeting right now. That's a major need.

Yeah, I am sure having Jerry Rice would not matter at all. Steffy, go away.

um yes, we're only 4 games into the season, we can always recruit more players/WR's.  if Cook/Heath can't go our receivers are Klein/Burton/Weber?

oh wait, can we even take Zuber's redshirt off, or did he declare before the year to leave it on.

Also if you are going to pull redshirts, then I hope the coaches plan on playing said players significant minutes. So I would hope they are either good enough to get those minutes, or just suck it up this year and save them for next year.

We can always recruit more players to WR, but we are better off if they all redshirt.  I see your point, though....we might not never (hopefully) have as much need as now.  I just don't think it would make that much of a difference this year to the bottom line.

Interesting. Now, does Snyder have to physically pull the redshirts off himself, or can the players take them off on their own?

With Sutton and Render (think he is going to be really good), why not say eff it and pull it. The depth beneath Zuber has a great chance to be better than the depth above him.

Wanting to save every last redshirt is so small time, which makes sense steffy is promoting it.

I am ok with pulling a redshirt after 4 games. Probably won't feel the same way after 5 games. Either play them now or not at all.

Agreed. Either you pull them to hopefully upset TCU and get the season back on track or just call it a wash and unleash them all next season.

I'd agree, and I would save, we're still probably good for 6-7 wins, and if we wait we could win 9+ for like 3 years. Would take.

Interesting.

"Considering" is far different from actually doing it.  That said, here are the most likely candidates to me:

1.  Duke Shelley, based on how our secondary has struggled.  However, I have not heard anything about him tearing it up on scout squad....this is just based on his high ranking coming in.

2.  Jonathon Banks, based on the cluster at QB and positive comments from Snyder.  But what about his mono?

3. Bryce English.  He appears physically ready, and I've heard he has been tearing up stuff.  Geary and Britz are playing almost every down (they sometimes come out on obvious pass rush), and they appeared tired at end of both La Tech and OSU.  I've always thought Hood could be in the rotation, but maybe he just isn't good enough.

I can't see us pulling redshirt for returner, offensive line, linebacker, defensive end, running back, or wide receiver (for varying different reasons.....only LB has been good enough with quality depth and rotation).

I have mixed feelings...I hate sacrificing the future for the present, but sometimes it makes sense.

True. I guess I just want someone over 6 feet tall, a possession guy, and if he can run too, then that's the cherry on top.
