I think a red shirt is kind of distracting. What color of shirt would you guys give to a player if they weren't going to play for a season?

What is the origin of the colors of the shirts that are being worn by various players who may or may not or can or can not play in their chosen college sport?

The first athlete known to extend his eligibility in the modern era of redshirting was Warren Alfson of the University of Nebraska in 1937. Alfson requested that he be allowed to sit out his sophomore season due to the number of experienced players ahead of him. In addition, he had not started college until several years after graduating from high school, and thus felt he needed more preparation. The year off worked; Alfson was All-Big Six Conference in 1939 and an All-American guard in 1940. :blah:

Banks out 6-8 weeks with mono. Delton out for at least 3 more weeks. Davidson is the backup and don't expect Hubener to run the ball this week.

Hell, the game is less than a minute old.  Why are any of you watching if we are already mumped because of Joe?

No. I want to not have all of our QBs hurt so Joe wasn't our qb by default.
