I'm starting to believe trump can pull this off. His ability to squelch any critisism is remarkable. Dudes just blast him and he always has a come back that makes them speechless and look like they want to apologize.
Correct. He also probably had the soundbite of the night re Vicente's "we're not gonna pay that rough ridin' wall" (eff him, btw). Trump said "they're going to pay for the wall, and it just got ten feet taller."

Overall Trump did fine. The attacks Rubio threw at him would have been more damaging months ago - but he has now achieved critical mass. He has so successfully endeared himself as a charicature that he can be that charicature without being hurt. Did you hear his opening statement? It was as if he was intentionally trying to incorporate every cliche phrase he likes to use.
Cruz had some good answers, but presence was diminished tonight. He seems to be fading.
Kasich... Why is he even still here? Same comment re Carson. By the way, Dr. Carson: yes, you are getting screwed on speaking time. But that's because you shouldnt still be on this stage.
Rubio did well. He landed some good jabs against Trump. He made Trump look like a complete buffoon on healthcare, and made a really funny self-deprecating joke about Trump repeating himself. None of it will really hurt Trump, but Rubio did as well as he could. His only hopes remain everyone else drops out, or brokered convention.
