My tripping experience, which is considerable, tells me that 'shrooms are the best drug there is. I would never do another drug(including alcohol) if I could trip with friends every other weekend.

One of my favorite experiences came while looking down at my beer. I imagined myself standing on top of a giant Natty. My entire horizon was the top of this can. I closed my eyes and imagined myself diving into the beer. I was swimming in this Natural Light World and it was extremely real to me. Just rough ridin' beautiful.

Went out and found a Dillon's grocery bag FULL sunday in my first attempt to find them out here in the Hays area.   Found most around a single big tree that was decaying, mostly 2 to 6 inches tall, all yellow except for one gray.   Kept enough out to have fresh for a couple of days, sliced in half or quarters the long way and froze by laying them on wax paper (lightly dusted with flour to keep them from sticking) in layers inside a big aluminum roasting pan, then bagged into quart sized ziplocks (9 total).   Saute'd up a batch last night in butter and garlic w/ a splash of red cooking wine, oh so fine.   I use a site, www.morels.com to figure out when they are popping and get some cooking tips.

Don't like mushrooms. At all. Even fancy italian-stuffed ones and whatnot. They stink and are gross. Also, took one hit off a "gravity bong" in high school of what someone said was a 'shroom. Terrible idea. Did not enjoy that trip. Plus, I had to list it on security forms for several years after college. Huge pain in the ass. Weed is no biggie, but for whatever reason, security folks look down on 'shrooms.

There are lots of people that tell you smoking shrooms will get you off, but I don't think they know how psilocybin reacts to heat. If you tripped, it was most likely something other than shrooms that did it to you.

Never really knew or cared to know what psycho shrooms looked like before this photo.  Then I was walking in my front yard tonight and think I found one. Looked at it for a moment then tossed it down, being an intelligent person.

That's one of the great things about morels.  There really isn't anything bad that looks like them.  There is a false morel that is hazardous to some people, but I've seen one of those and its bigger, redder, solid-core instead of hollow and has folds instead of pits.  Not really that easily confused.

This has been a bad year here.  Found a few small greys about 3 weeks ago, all less than 3".  Then a single small yellow last week.  Found 7 decent sized yellows Saturday, but most of those were past their prime and crumbly.  One fell apart completely at the slightest touch.  We hit a dry spell at just the wrong time I think.  None of my honeyholes have produced anything but those few greys.

Yeah, as long as you get the right thing. To my knowledge, the LD50 is unknown because of the quantity it would take. If it is known, it's ridiculously high. The dangerous part is picking them in the wild, because unlike morels, there are many that looks similar. Plus, it is super unlikely that they are growing in anyones yard because many are either symbiotic or grow on cow dung, and either situation is rare to happen in your front yard.

Tip of advice if that still doesn't scare you away from eating wild shrooms: Don't eat anything if it doesn't bruise blue if you squeeze it. It will happen pretty fast, so if it ain't obvious, don't eat it. Even that isn't a foolproof plan, but it's a step in the right direction. Ohh, and don't eat any wild mushrooms in Kansas if you want to trip, unlikely that there are any here. Pacific Northwesterners......you have access to azures and they are STRONG...find a hippy and don't lose yourself in your mind.

Don't get cow dung in the yard.  Just dog and deer.  Possibly a few bits of washed/blown in horse also.

My room mate smocked GHB once (look it up tards). Said he went to a geometric world of awesome that seemed like an eternity but actually only lasted like 15 minutes. Pretty nuts.
