Absolutely massive tornado(maybe EF-5) in Mississippi. Right now.

what an awful day. Forecast was pretty spot on. Storms continued all through the night.

Originally the videos seemed fake to me, like they were almost too surreal. Reed Timmer liked/quoted tweeted them so I think they are real. I mean I would probably have the same reaction being THAT close to a tornado. I mean the videos don’t do it justice if they are real.

That thing blew by my place this morning and I almost scrambled to the basement. Laziness overcame me and I rode it out from my office chair. We didn’t lose power but a few giant trees got uprooted from the creek behind our house.

It’s about to get gnarly in Chicago. Lost power 10 minutes ago, and the storm isn’t quite here yet

Man, imagine that.  One of the flattest pieces of geography in North America, located in the mid-upper slightly Midwest having a strong thunderstorm in the summer.

13 tornadoes within city limits in the last 170 years, most a long way from downtown

8man doing his "look at me" routine again. I've seen it before, can't say I'm surprised.

Same storm was out in WKS last night and knocked down some dead/old tree's on the cat ranch.

No major damage and all cats seem to be accounted for

Imagine living in a central Iowa city that doesn't have buried power lines, couldn't be me. I'm afraid when I get back home, from the forests of Minnesota, my elite gardens, including sunflowers, will be trashed though. Some cities had over 100 mph winds, 83 measured at my crib.
