can't wait to see the nws storm surveys...plus the saved radar/velocity shots of the Tuscaloosa storm. NOAA guy from Dodge City said the storm rivaled the Greensburg storm on inbound/outbound velocities.

Yeah stormtrack.org bbs'ers will be all over it.

And surveying these storms will be very difficult in deciding which tornadoes caused what, since there are so many of them. Incredible outbreak since Monday. Well over 200 tornadoes reported.

edit

To clarify, usually NOAA gives stats on exactly which tornado did what damage, and then which tornado killed what person. But there is so much chaos that they may never know for sure.

Interesting situation developing near Washington DC. Strong storm coming in within an hour. Radar showed very nice rotation and even a debris ball.

kind of reminiscent of the Andover tornado, no?

Would agree.  Both were insanely violent.

Also, was cruising around some other boards this morning and read this post on shaggy

We have a friend (who currently also happens to be our real estate agent) whose daughter lives in Tuscaloosa. She tried calling her after the storms and couldn't reach her for some hours.

They finally found her body this morning.

people like that are really dumb.  tornados shift rather quickly, and without the approrpiate equipment, d-bags like this guy don't know where it's going to go.
