This inspired me to check mine. I will pay it all off when I am 58.5 years old if I stay on the current payment schedule, which I will. If I die before then, the debt is forgiven, and my estate doesn’t have to pay it. nice perk of the department of education loans.

I just refinanced mine (before the interest rate hike(s)). Went from $2300/mo to like $730/mo.
