It's a big day for the moms. mil doesn't want to feel like it was just an obligatory dance, hence 2 dances. Your mom doesn't want to feel like mil got better treatment than her, hence 3 dances. (That was more for the rubes, I am guessing yla understood)

In your speech make sure to thank anyone who may have lifted a finger towards planning/arranging/decorating the wedding and reception venue(which will obviously be the bride's friends and fam) and also the staff who work there too. Just say "Wow I can't believe how many people worked towards making this such a wonderful day!"

What ended up being the most important piece of advice was given to me by our officiant right before starting the ceremony. She looked right at me and said "remember to breathe"

Good thing, otherwise I would not have been able to keep it together. BAC was a bumbling mess.

I will say that although steve dave is incredibly thoughtful and generous, that's a lot of crap to think about, not a good recipe for "relaxing".

but if your bride is crying it might be a good idea to drum up a few happy tears as well.
