Beer Connoisseurs
« on: April 22, 2010, 04:17:34 PM »
Just started drinking a stout brewed by Goose Island.  Bourbon County Stout to be exact.  It is Delicious.  It's beer and bourbon mixed together people.  It also has 13% alcohol but is an ass kicker on the calories.  475 is a ton but I'm not a lard ass so it doesn't bother me. :drink:

Might go well with the slop that the wierdrobert clan has been cooking..

Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Calories aren't a big deal with real beers like that.  They aren't chugging/bonging/ponging beers.  Save the pisswater american beer for that.  There is an actual enjoyment factor that goes with high-end beers that just doesn't exist with regular horse piss.

Goose Island Oatmeal Stout is one of my favorites, and possible my very favorite. Awesome stuff.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Anyone here been into the Tallgrass Brewing? They just stopped brewing the wheat altogether, which is awesome, because that was by far the worst one. I guess they're starting a new one in the next couple of weeks. Tons of hops. Count me in.

I'll be in O'Fallon in a month or so, will have to try it.

Is the Goose Island stuff sold in 6 packs or is it one of those giant bottle beers

You can get the giant or it comes in a 4 pack (12 oz).  Cire is right, $19 for a four pack.  Worth it though.

I haven't gotten to experience Blind Tiger as a 21 year old. Worth the drive?

some day you'll grow up.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
