Had this the other day:

It was good, but a little bit too sweet for me.  Could not drink more than one.  Anyone else like it?  Will it grow on me?

What about the other Goose Island "Vintage" collection beers?

Not too sweet and/or fruity?  It certainly looks quite a bit lighter

I don't mind some sweetness but too much usually ruins the beer for me.

it is a little sweet and pretty dry. but, it's a french style saison so it's supposed to be dry.

if you're not into that sorta thing then I wouldn't recommend it.

eff!!!!
I can't remember what I all tried tonight. (fanning, this was going to be my fanningbrag post and I have screwed it up)
Rimsbargen or something like that- a VERY SWEET red beer that was really great if you are into that kind of thing (I hated it)
Some sort of white apple cider beer (would be really great if it was served on ice on a hot day (that is what the irish par tender owner told me))
Carlsberg- a heavy blance beer. This was very good and 3 of these will get you going, I guarantee it!

(end of very poor memory fanningbrag post)
(fanning, I am using the fanningbrag thingy as a play on myself, I am not trying to start crap with you )

The end.

I couldn't find the Cider Connoisseurs thread, and I figured it would end up here anyway.

The only time I ordered Carlsberg was when I was 19 in Canada. Everyone was all "look at this rookie"

New Belgium Red Hoptober
Bridgeport Witch Hunt
Abita Purple Haze (because cats, man)
Avery Out Of Bounds Stout
Sierra Nevada Stout

Will report back.

Is it like shocktop raspberry or wild red? Both are decent, but taste more like kool-aid than beer.
