update from Great Divide Anniversary 2012:  Belgian Style Yeti A+++  (my favorite), Makers Mark Yeti = super good, but super strong...Oak aged Dunkel weiss  B+....18th anniversary Double IPA = good...all others that I can remember were good but unremarkable

Overall... $25 really well spent!!!  Mile high 'pak next year???

jesus i'm jealous.  makers mark yeti?  :lick:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Been noticing these in liquor stores in KC. Pretty good and the bottle artwork is great.

Anyone had Sierra Nevada's Summerfest? Wanted to try it, but Costco sold in 24 packs and did not want 24 if it turned out to be crap.

Do you like budweiser? If you like budweiser, you'll LOVE Sierra Nevada's Summerfest!

But seriously, I was very disappointed in this year's summer seasonals.  Summerfest blows, Blue Moon Honey Wheat blows, Somersault is meh.

I really did enjoy Freestate's Stormchaser IPA though.  Fantastic beer, even better artwork.

Blue Moon Honey Wheat blows

Yeah. The spring seasonal was pretty decent, but the honey wheat is like drinking straight honey.

I swear every hipster at the show last night was drinking pounders of Black Star:

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1477/3887

And I'd never heard of it before. :dunno:

Mich, I dabbled in some New Holland stuff last evening.  I've been to their brewery in Holland, Mich probably 3 different times, you been?  Really like that town.

I have been to their brewery before. Good food and I love their pumpkin beer. Holland is a nice place if you're dutch.

And yet, Minott's Black Star Double-Hopped Premium Lager - just entering the Bay Area market by way of droll, low-key radio and newspaper ads, and more than 260 tavern taps and store refrigerator cases - somehow manages to be as up-to-date as Netscape 2.0. NOTE:

Black Star promises to pack more punch than Budweiser and Miller, yet taste less esoteric and sit lighter than most microbrews, so anybody can throw back a few.

Sound like an ad man's dream? It should: Ad men dreamed most of the story up.

oh boy stone is great.  on tap in kc, one of my favorite beers.  kc sells a ton of stone, like the most in the midwest and stuff.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

steve dave, our resident beer noob, is wrong again.  sakes alive.

the worst place to drink a beer is at the brewery, anyone who's ever cracked open a cold brew knows that.  do you even drink brew, steve?

tried some Love Child #2 last night.  I've never tried a sour beer so didn't know what to expect.  Not bad.  Will have more.

Picked up a sixer or Boulevard ZON last night.  The race for my favorite beer of the summer is now between that and Free State Stormchaser.

Haven't had much that I've liked this summer.  I like Saisson Brett but It was available for about a week.  blvd's stupid chocolate has now made all of their seasonals impossible.

Yellabellies'

12 pack.

 :drink:
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

This might sound tardy but tallgrass ipa and belgian trippel are both really good
