Is tallgrass as garbage as I think it is?  Any of it any good?

Halcyon is the best thing Tallgrass has ever done.

It is legitimately, a very good wheat beer and I'm not saying that just because it's local.

Trick question. There are no good wheat beers.

Their halcyon wheat is ok.  Not great but decent for a wheat.

Sorry I didn't know we were in a group that looks down on wheat beers.

Sorry, SausageKing, JTksu.

sierra nevada has a good heffeweisen(?) more of a summer beer IMO.

I"m really hooked on the smokestack series, double wide, the ale and tank 7.  Getting expensive though.

Hmmm.... That's probably because you're a rough ridin' idiot.  For a wheat beer, the Halcyon is really good.

11.5 abv  and also :lick:  Going to try Laguita's Holiday Ale this weekend.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

And I don't look down on wheat beers, it's just not my favorite style.  Saying that halcyon is pretty good for a wheat is basically saying it's a pretty darn good because I'll still drink it even  though I'm not big on wheats.  :dunno:

Not weird. Pretty much everyone who likes IPA's didn't like them at first.

Had Goose Island Marisol last weekend at Torta Frontera.  Didn't know at the time it was a Rick Bayless collaboration.  It was excellent.
