I'm losing interest in craft beer, specifically IPAs.  I used to love them but now they all just taste the same.  It's like wow this one is so hoppy, but wow this one is hoppy too but also has some citrus notes, oh wow. If you have a life changing IPA that will snap me out of my IPA funk tell me in this thread.  Otherwise I'll probably drink High Life all year.
Same. I did recently really enjoy DAAAANG IPA from Zipline brewery.

My beer selection on hand changes with the seasons, but I get what you’re saying. The only constant in my life has been my absolute preference for enjoying whatever is on tap at a nearby brewery.

This is the only one I can tolerate any more:

The rest fall in a spectrum between grapefruit and diesel fuel and I'm over it.

This is how you should drink craft beer IMO. Especially IPAs.

agree. I describe it as a beer funk and it usually happens around this time of year. I'll drink some Guinness and Left Hand Milk Stout and then the spring beers will come out in like Feb/March and they will be delicious again.

Man that's crazy. I have also hit an IPA wall.  I went to the liquor store the other day, couldn't pick anything out because none of them sounded good and ended up walking out of there with some Busch light and Wild Turkey.  _33's description is right on the money.  They are all just 2 flavors to me now: hoppy or hoppy AND citrusy    :frown:

Love the Pure Pils. Sam Adams actually makes my favorite Pilsner but they stopped distributing it to our area. It was called Noble Pils and it is just a fantastic spring beer. I really wish they would bring it back to the area again.

Can you get Free State in your area? They have a great Pilsner that comes out around May.

Knowing the demographics of this blog I am genuinely a little puzzled that so few have switched to wine.

Is vodka soda a cocktail? I think so and agree. I'm def still a beer guy, but have been drinking less. I have that sweet spot right before dinner if i'm cooking where i'll have 1-2 good beers then I'm basically done. More vodka and soda than anything in the summer.

That’s exactly my routine, although I’ve recently started drinking an old fashioned instead sometimes.

Yes nothing makes me want a beer more than when I’m making dinner. A close second would be whenever the Chiefs or FB Cats play.

One old fashioned down the hatch.  I could make another or drink the one beer left in my fridge… a barrel aged quad.  Thirty minutes until dinner and didn’t eat lunch.  I’d better wait a bit or else I’ll get wasted like steve dave..

I've got some unfortunate news about myself regarding how many crispy boys it takes to get me wasted :-(

Got my hands on the Charlie Berens beer when I was in Green Bay a couple weeks ago.
