They were talking about it on the Manhattan AM radio sports talk show.Sounds like Trotter and others have written about it after Boren said the B12 should get back to 12 members

Nebraska's football program may never regain its former glory, but the academic side is already reaping the financial benefits of being in the CIC. It would never happen, but if K-State was invited to the Big Ten, we would say yes. In a heartbeat, no questions asked. Nebraska would NEVER consider leaving the Big Ten.

I have no rough ridin' desire to be in the big 10. In fact if the big 12 fell apart and somehow we had a standing offer from every conference, I would take almost any major conference over them except maybe the acc. The acc is pretty disgusting.

because hank bounds was just hired and I don't know what you would know about his preference for the big 10 over the big 12 (other than it being a more highly respected and lucrative academic situation for them which he and any other president ever hired would believe) and harvey perlman would have literally zero say in the matter one way or the other and he's retiring anyway. like, did you just decide that was probably something that was the case and say it?

If NU asks, we should stall and use that as a way to convince MU to come back, then deny NU. Then we use MU coming back, and our status as someone too elite to let a big 10 school in our conf, and use that to sell Arky to come in.

I went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago where the groom was an NU grad, and his buds were all hard-core Nub fans. They never once mentioned a desire to return to the Big 12, I expected they would.

Would barely play in Pacific time zone in that scenario. But games u might barely care about would be late. Bottom line is we actually have something pretty great and makes sense. Dunno why anyone would want to go somewhere else.
