I know a lot of people think we missed out on this kid, but I just got some hot deets from an A++ source about the situation that went down. He came in for his visit and worked out with the team, but apparently the staff was underwhelmed. After he visited K-State, KU, and Kentucky he called Weber and told him that he would like to play for K-State, however, Weber told him we had locked up the scholarship already (even though we hadn't) and told him to choose one of the other schools. That's how he ended up at KU. Weber didn't think he was good enough for us, so he went to any school that would take him. Crazy stuff. Don't shoot the messenger on this one.

This makes a lot of sense now. Coach Weber knows his talent, and I wasn't very impressed with Vick, myself.

Vick is going to be the next NBA draft pick in Lawrence to do nothing in college. That's not what we need. We need production, effort, and teamwork, and we need 4 years of it. Good job, Coach Weber. You really are building something here that we can all be proud of.

I have an A-/A source on the Bill Self side of things that said when Vick called Bill(after calling oscar, I guess) he basically said, "Welp, Looks like I will be accepting KU's offer, I guess". Bill/source said that he was super sad and ended the call in tears.

That's because he decided he was going to be a Kansas State Wildcat instead after his visit here. Too bad for him, oscar Weber didn't think he's good enough to play for Kansas State. He called Bill Self and got a scholarship to save face. Best of luck to the kid, because he's going to need it.
