Mrs Wacky and I hit up the Parkville Putt putt course this last Saturday. I was able to fight off the heat and score 2 over after a 18 hole round. I'm thinking about going pro now.

August 6th, Canary, SdK BIL, and I will be hitting up Colbert Hills for my birthday. Anyone else interested let me know itt and I'll work out a tee time. It'd be a lot of fun to have a large group or a couple groups that can switch it up after the front 9.

I am looking forward to that.  Last year's birthday golf was pretty good.  I'm sure this one will be even better.

Congrats.  Par 3's aren't always good to me.

I am looking for some golf partners for either Saturday or Sunday of this coming weekend.  I haven't played as much as I would have thought I would and really want to get some time in before my work schedule gets more hectic. I would be willing to travel as well, but the Topeka area is always good for me.
kslim, _fan, sdk - anyone else?  I just want to get out on the links.

I'd love to play with you guys sometime, but this weekend is no good for me.

Related: has anyone here ever played fire keeper? Thinking about doing a little trip out there to play some golf and a little gambling for my pops bday

I've got our Catholic Charities gold tournament coming up this Monday at Lake Quivira and I haven't played in awhile. I'm teamed up with Mrs. Wacky's bros too.  :ohno:

I have not played there, but a friend of mine has.  He really likes the course and the way they treat their guests.  That sounds like a great birthday for your dad. And I enjoy the gambling end of things there always.
I think SdK and his brother-in-law and I are playing in Manhattan for his birthday in a couple of weeks.

It will be, but man, that course is super tough. If you don't hit one in the fairway, you're in for a long hole/day.

Then I would be in for a long day most holes.

The rough is like something you'd see at the British open, but like super green and no weeds.

I am in the rough plenty...and around here there are always weeds there.
I have resigned myself to the fact that I am going to play both days this weekend solo. (Not relative to my personal life.)

Awesome, WC!  Have a great time at your charity event this weekend.  The weather here is going to be great for golf.  My plan is to hit the links both days, Saturday and Sunday.

I would join you, but I got 7 stitches in my right index finger last week. I'm hoping to get a little more golf in next week later if it heals right.

Wow!  Hope the hand is okay.  You know how I am about hand injuries. ???? I hope you get back at it soon.  I'm looking forward to playing at Colbert Hills with SdK and his family next weekend.

Played at a course here in DFW yesterday that was fun. I only lost like 6 balls too so that was a plus

Just finished a round here in Topeka.  Moved pretty quickly until I had to wait on two groups the last three holes.  It was nice and relaxing.  Not good golf on five holes, and very decent for me on four of them.  Got wet with the rain a couple of times.  Looking forward to another round tomorrow.
