Getting poppa johns tonight. Have I previously sworn off papa j's? Yes. I have. But the wife is dealing with the ku grads and she is picking it up so no sweat.

I've decided Papa John is a douche and I don't order from there anymore. So many other options, so it's not much of a sacrifice.

Bagel Bites are good, but they dont hold a candle to pizza rolls. Just IMO.

For some reason pj's is at the bottom of my pizza chain list. Don't like the sauce... Too tangy or too something anyway.

Also, NiMarco's in Flagstaff was very good. Stopped there with bubbles and MiegeCat on the way to the Grand Canyon based on my parents' recommendation from when 8mompick was a grad student there in the mid 80's and it was still great.

personally i prefer doughboys over the megachains. and poppa johns is at the bottom of the chain pizzas, but at the top when it comes to those breadsticks. yum.

Pizza rolls have a very delicate balance. Too hot, they explode in your mouth and unlike a hot piece of pizza, it burns your entire mouth instead of just the top of it. But obviously, if you wait too long, then they suck. Because cold pizza rolls, woof.

We went to Oreganos in Scottsdale (they have them all over AZ AFAIK) very good pizza. We just got the thin crust, it was delicious.
