This debacle is getting so surreal, I half expect to get awoken tomorrow with news reports out of Manhattan that John Currie has barricaded himself with an unloaded AR-15 in the shell of the new Vanier with LHC Bill Snyder as his hostage and oscar Weber strapped with 100 lbs of C4 on his chest zip-tied to the 50 yd line of the football field and a cryptic note taped to oscar's head saying, "I just want to retire here!...and cut my grass..."

Is this all a dream?

All athletic directors hate the eff out of their own fanbases. Like those are the people they hate most in the whole world. So while this is bad for Currie, at least part of him can really enjoy it because he rough ridin' hates all of your guts and hopes you die.

Currie: It's all about football, anyway. So give that squirrely sack of crap basketball coach I wrapped around your neck some slack. We all know how hard a job he has what with having to coach all those basketball talent types who don't have the character expected at K-State.

The not so veiled racism of Weber and Currie's passive-aggressive dismissal policy plays big with a large percentage of our fanbase.

Dear Boobhead Bob. Winning is part of the high standards K-State fans expect. Also bold leadership as well, not excuses. My message would be we expect exceptionalism from our coach. KU and WSU have succeeded in meeting this standard. Being lower than the shockers and squawkers is brown butt embarrassing.

This next basketball season will be awesome in its awfulness. However, I am absolutely terrified that Curry's nonchalant and condescending attitude toward the fanbase will be bolstered and carry over into the next football HC hire. Especially if few 70+ year old white midwesterners who wear jeans with elastic waists and white sneakers give him positive reinforcement.
