so you have to walk around to the other side of your car to fill it up with gas? seems weird. probably because people drive on that side of the car in other countries!

in my experience, most american cars have it on the right and most japanese cars put it on the correct (driver's) side. i want to learn japanese so i can get to the bottom of this.

my truck has drivers side
wife's explorer has passenger.

Passenger side gas caps are R word

any time I drive a rental car or someone else's car with a passenger side gas cap it bugs me to death. it would be like having a winter coat that zips up in the back

Both our tahoe and camry have it on the driver's side. Our old mazda minivan also had it on the driver's side. I want to say our G6 had it on the passenger's side though.

i think it's better on the passenger side. i specifically bought my car because of the gas cap location and love it.
