I was just thinking yesterday. Nebraska men's basketball has still never won an NCAA tourney game, and Nebraska football has faded so far into irrelevance that the glory years are now nearly two decades ago. They hired the pinnacle of mediocrity in Mike Riley. Cornhole baseball had a few fleeting glory years and has no slunk off to irrelevance in the Big 10 where a school with a $100 million dollar athletic budget cut men's baseball . . . and now a traditional Big 10 Football Power has brought in Jim Harbaugh to be their coach, Urban Meyer has Ohio State back to winning national titles and Michigan State is as solid as ever.
I guess all they really have left is vanity plates and memories.
