Hmm, I might have to check out that 4chan book

it is not solely focused on 4chan and isn't a history of 4chan, talks a lot about Milo and Mike Cernovich and Alex Jones and stuff.

I'm excited to read books to lil ad that don't have pictures. May start this one. Also have never read/seen it. He just turned 4. Too early? Anyone done this?

I think it's pretty scary. I think my kids were 5 or 6 though so you're probably fine if he's enjoying himself.

I did this with the first and second. They have illustrated editions that the boy received for Xmas.

I picked up handmaid's tale and it  is very good.

I didn't want to bother figuring out Hulu, so I just picked up the (e)book also.

lil CF3 is 7 so he's doing great with the pace of this book, but 4 might be a bit young (not because scary, but just parts are slow). I'd start off with something faster like The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or really any of the Roald Dahl stuff. There is a series called Magic Tree House that lil CF3 loves that he's read either with me or on his own like 45 of them. They are kinda dumb but kids love them. Super easy and a great intro to chapter books. I mean its a magic tree house that takes you to see dinosaurs or to the moon and junk.

Yeah I actually thought you were making a pun, like they're a stain on literature or something but that's actually how its spelled. Weird.

Hmmm, do you try to pretend racism doesn't exist with lil CF3?

No, I didn't really realize what it was like until we were already in it. I try my best to explain the books as we read them.

Cool.  I guess the current perspective of lots of things change as those things get older and we change ourselves.
