This is so delicious. I hope every scholarship player leaves and we field a team comprised entirely of walk-ons from an open tryout.  :crossfingers:

It was a crappy season but oscar is doing everything he can to turn it around, including getting rid of the riff raff!
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

If oscar coaches 4 years has a Big 12 championship and makes the NCAA twice. I think you can shrug your shoulders and be fine with it.

sure if it was like this:

Year before oscar: 15-17, No post Season
Hire oscar
Year 1: 18-15, 1 win in Big XII tourney, NIT
Year 2: 16-16, 1 win in Big XII tourney, no postseason
Year 3: 24-10, 2 wins in Big XII tourney, NCAA 1st round loss
Years 4: 29-7, Big XII Title, 3 seed, sweet 16 etc.

But it ain't like that is it

If he is gone next year, I don't think he could of had a shorter tenure and got more out of it. I don't think anybody wants him here anymore. Might as well get the most out of it in the shortest amount time possible.

I've talked to several IRL people who DO want him here anymore. Not old grandpas either. Like under 35 year old fans.

oscar Weber has made me seriously reconsider some of my friendships. I really can't understand wanting to give him any more time at this point. Yet, here we are, and plenty of people are rough ridin' stoked that he's "cleaning up this program", like it was somebody else's mess.

I've done the exact same thing.

Yeah, I really can't think of anyone I've met that was ever very gung ho for oscar.

If I had a friend who thought oscar was good, I wouldn't kick them to the curb or drag their name through the mud. I'd share with them statistics and facts that explain why they were wrong and help them see the error of their ways. I wouldn't give up until they saw why and how they strayed and why they were wrong. And then we would hug and go do something great together.

Lucky for you the chances are low that you'd have to put in that kind of effort.

I have one friend who still thinks oscar needs more time, but he also thinks pro wrestling is real, so I just SMH and change the subject.
