"umeboshi" salted pickled japanese plum. intensely sour and salty with a bone shattering pit. not clear on when you are supposed to eat it. i took a survey today and 75% say at the end and 25% say at the beginning. I of course thing beginning because it's on top.

emo's correct, it can't be on the bottom, so it's placement on top does not indicate the order in which it should be consumed. what about quartering it and consuming a little throughout?

Bento sukiyaki. Sweet soy sauce stewed shaved beef and onions. Room temp so the fat turned opaque. A medium poor bento adaptation of a bitb j-dish.

how were the different flavored foil cups?
