I use to pick teams that made big runs in their conference tourney, cause they're usually hot at the time. However, that can back fire a lot. Because some of those teams are burned out. See Iowa State.

There is no system that works year to year for upsets. It's almost completely random.

I pick early upsets against teams that I think just aren't good enough to make the elite 8.

Don't pick Villanova
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I do my bracket inside out and pick low seeds that I think are not going to the sweet 16 to get upset.  If I don't think the high seed will win the pod I usually don't pick them to win the first game because why bother? This usually leads to poor scores in the round of 64 but like in our contest this season I have a very high points possible beyond the round of 64

Wut? I couldn't have been the only person that got a notification from the ESPN bracket app this afternoon that stated the only perfect bracket picked Duke to win the championship.

Yes, KU would meet UK in the e8

He picked Duke to beat KU in the championship, 58-0 or something like that.

Wow. I can't believe I was considering your strategy to pick my bracket next year. Then I read this and have to say I am going to do the opposite.

You should never fill out more than one bracket.
