Can Wade teach the team the Kansas work ethic?
« on: March 16, 2015, 12:08:04 PM »
We've seen this on the FB team.  Others will be quicker, etc. and going from the big fish in a small pond to the big time will be tough.  Jordy and Kline type work ethic will be golden on this team.

What if he's good enough to keep oscar from getting fired, but not good enough to help us win tourney games?

I grew up east of Club Orleans, I would like to hear the opinion of Western Kansas people (west of Club Orleans) on this.

I bet Claws was in one or both of 4H and FFA and therefore has a wonderful work ethic and is eager to show others how to have a good work ethic.

Maybe we should find a good babysitter that can walk on.  According to a bunch of GPC tweets this weekend, oscar failed because he was baby sitting and not coaching.  So, if you see any good Babysitting fliers in your neighborhood, maybe shoot them oscar's way.  Not sure what the requirements are.  I mean, it would probably be a plus if they know CPR, have a reliable car, and maybe if their parents have a pool or something they wouldn't mind taking the little guys back to swim in some days of the year.

No bullshit cut rate ones either, guys.  This is obviously a big task.

Is that the official Mason-Dixon line of Kansas? Makes sense, just have never heard that before.

Yeah.

It is frustrating to me to hear that.  I mean, talented and celebrated 19 yr olds exist at all major sports schools and they usually don't melt down because they are too much for their coach to handle.  It's ridiculous.

My fave part of the GPC wknd was where D. Scott said only Nino and Gip cared about losing and the rest of the guys were just planning on getting hammered at Johnny Kaws after the games.

Honestly, it doesn't make Nino and Gip sound the greatest either. Those guys seem just as disconnected from the young guys as Weber. This season was just a mess.

Gip and Nino seem to just be doing more blame shifting. Marcus was the main guy taking responsibility in his last interview.

“I just didn’t go hard every day like I should have,” Foster said. “I tried to go hard late in the season, but it was too late.”

“When you think that way, you have got to be hungry with it,” Foster said. “You can say, ‘I am going to average 15 points,’ but then you have to make sure it happens. I didn’t stay hungry enough to make things happen like I should have.”

The Marcus quotes have been weird. Like I didn't want to play hard because I think our coach is a putz, but I still totally want to come back and play for this weirdo loser next year??

I agree.

We should do one of these for Dean.  Maybe just add a "D" to it.
