About 10 years ago I would play bball games there with some buds from work and I thought maybe they kept those gyms open just out of the goodness of someone's heart. One night I asked if we were supposed to have passes or something and one guy kind of stammered and said "Well.....if anyone comes by asking we usually just give them a few bucks each." Then I wondered if that was like a bribe-ish situation or if they were fine collecting a little bit of money but I didn't ask any more questions after that.
