Life Cycle of a Great Song at Bramlage
« on: February 28, 2015, 08:07:43 PM »
1.  Find a song that we like.

2. Shirt Tucks and Students love the song and everyone is having fun.

3. The song then gets played at the KU game and is turned into Anti KU chant.

4. Shirt Tucks turn against it but athletic department doesn't realize it.

5. Song gets more loud and profane and athletics finally realizes it.

6. Song is retired for a few years until existing students leave.

7. New songs are brought into the picture and over time they will be !@#$@#   up too.

We just retired Sandstorm for a while and it makes me sad.... but just remember it will always be in our hearts...

"Start Wearing Purple" would be a good song to play once every other game  in my opinion.

I am laughing right now because I am trying to figure out where we would put the F*** KU chant in.

Sandstorm is tight and all, but I mean....its not like F&^K KU goes along with the beat of the song.  We could chant that to a damn Willie Nelson song and it'd still get the job done

Burning Couches  =    Sandstorm

Both fun and pretty much harmless.  Shirt Tucks hate it.

That's the one I watched!!! Haha.

Also, did they make Sandstorm a felony? Because Morgantown did so for couch burning. So stupid. Sucks they just banned your fun too.

What if we had a song for each team that we played?

It probably would be a felony if we hacked the computer system and put it into the pregame.

Otherwise, they take the easy road of not playing the song anymore.

I guess burning couches wins!!!

Cheers to the Mountaineers

like, the students could not be so unoriginal and not chant "eff ku".  I mean, there's that too. Or just act like 16yr old girls upset at their dad.  Whatever works.

IIRC they've only used it a few times this season. KU obv, and OU maybe? def not a staple anymore. seems to happen every season. one or two hype home games we get SS, then they put it back in the attic for next year.

Unmmmm there is a simple explanation for limited sandstorm.
