I just watched 365 Sports give Baylor AD Mack Roades an interview in which he said they must have a minimum of $5 million per year for NIL funds. This part is for MIR; he also said they can't come close to what the other Texas schools have for NIL funds due to the fact they are smaller than the other schools and don't have as many alumni as they do. Yea, it takes peanuts to get top players.

Sounds like pretty much a done deal. The AZ schools and Utah are probably also talking to Wormack. Delusional ASU probably thinks the SEC or big 10 will come calling..

Would we have a draft for highschool / community college kids? Trade for transfers? Is Nick on his way out, because this would wipe out a lot of the 'haves' advantages...or maybe they do this after the top 32 teams leave to form their own league.

Right? I mean it'll be more emphasis on talent evaluation but like if it's a draft and there are trades or whatever it would really cap the top teams since they can horde talent. Seems like an interesting thing for a top school to do, unless yes they intend to only do it in a "super league" or whatever

It would have to be more like the baseball draft and minor league baseball. Guys getting passed over because they demand too high of a bonus, and teams with wildly different payrolls.

Must be some error here as I don't see ku on the list: According to longtime reporter Jim Williams, 10 programs have been "vetted" by the Big Ten for possible membership. This list includes, in no particular order, Cal, Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Georgia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina, Duke, Utah and Miami.

K-State is committed to the Big 12, and Mizzou is in the SEC. KC market already taken by other conferences.

I mean I guess it's possible but it would be all streaming. The people who were right about the Big 12 deal are adamant that ESPN isn't giving the Pac 12 what the Big 12 got, which makes sense given that at this point ESPN is the only possible linear bidder for their rights and even an ESPN deal would be heavily streaming/OTT.
