6 million TVs with zero threat to traditional powers in any sport of consequence means easy decision. Especially when they're willing to jump through every stupid hoop you can come up with to put them at a disadvantage.

The ACC actually reacted in a defensive manner by upping the buyout and adding teams. BigXII is slow and dumb. It makes poaching the members all the easier - also says to the ACC people, Hey we are going to do this, so, like, seriously, we will do it. If you want to come, seriously, like this is going to really seriously happen with, uh, MU so, yea! Hurry!

he's upset about this article which quotes a 'big 12 school official' stating the obvious: that WV has better football, basketball and fan base. and that Missouri needs to make a move soon or they might have to play in the B12 next year.

I would agree w/ all of this, MU is nothing special and nothing to be fought over. They are a nice piece. More attractive to the Big XII b/c of historical significance( the "best rivalry west of the Mississippi") GMAFB, than the SEC. A few years down the road the SEC will see why there haven't been lawsuits threatening their tortious interference w/ MU, when no one wants to watch a 5-7 football team. The problem really is those t-shirt fans will likely jump to the squawks making the KC area flooded w/ more insufferable mongoloid fans.

ok, so if you get the pitt and dc markets, then, I mean, from every aspect accept travel WVU is better. The south schools won't care because they only have to go to WVU once every four years. Would make complete sense to get UL and Cincy. Having WVU and BYU in the same division would be beyond brutal/stupid.

It depends. I've been kicking around what I think would make a nice Big 12 Network idea, and from a basketball standpoint, you could put a lot of WVU and BYU games on the platform because you can have doubleheaders on your own network. Early game at WVU and late game at BYU.

But, from a travel perspective, yeah, it's dumb.
