My suggestion would be to apply for one of the openings at Sungevity. It's a residential solar company that just opened an office at City Center Square downtown. The HQ are still in Oakland but they're hiring like crazy and I've heard good things about the fairness of pay, quality of the benefits, and the culture. Sounds like a fun place to work and I know the lead HR person (emaw stud) for the market. DM if interested.
