SF, where is this farm located? Based on the fact that there is a "Creek" and farm pond with crappie I'm going to narrow it down to east of Hutchinson at the minimum. I want to say the smoky hills area but I feel like there are still too many deciduous tree's and water for the smoky hills at this time of the year. I'm going to guess just on the west side of the flint hills, like Abilene/newton area.

So I have another week until the new gig starts and I head out to the cat ranch today. Took the mower for a couple of laps and it worked fine but when I fired her back up (the mower identifies as a female at the cat ranch) the engine would run but when you put the "mower" in gear nothing would happen.

I decided I'm a proud graduate of the Harvard of the plains and can fix this, put the mower up on a ramp thinking maybe something had got caught in the blades and after nothing was there I did some expert farm work.

I grabbed the trusty harbor freight (unopened)multi tool kit that had been sitting in my dad's 2004 Chevy S10 and figured out a belt had slipped loose from the mower attachment. I removed the protector, put the belt back on and it ran clean as a Mormon.
