Collins went on many trips away from squawkville during the school year on his own accord and with the financial assistance of his "handler" so why the hell is anybody surprised by this??

Can't blame him, after one game a lot of the fans seemed to forget about his 4 years there.

I wasn't too surprised at how quickly the fanbase turned on their football golden-boy Reesing, I am a little bit so on Collins.

I was more surprised about Reesing than Collins. There are far fewer great Jayhawk football players than basketball players. Also, Reesing is white.

I got about 530 views on this blog post yesterday about about half of them are from you guys.

Thanks to the person who linked to this (I'm guessing one of you follows my twitter account).

I might be eventually doing a story on K-State for basketballtimesonline.com. I was going to do a story on Frank Martin in March, but the Big 12 denied my credential request due to space issues.

Again, thanks for the views and I'll let you guys know in the fall if I have a Frank Martin/K-State story in the works.

I said if he won a championship, he'd be the greatest KU player of all time. He failed.

I thought it was pretty pathetic he was on a video chat with fans the night before the game. I don't think he was focused at all.

It was really hard for me to like this team. It was nothing like the 2008 team and seeing how Collins has blown off his teammates and coaches after this season, he's ruined his reputation (at least with me). I know the majority of KU fans will still love him but what he's done the last month has been really disappointing.

How in the hell were goEMAWers not aware of this and actively participating? Our coverage of elite interwebbing opportunity is as poor as KSU beat writers' recruiting coverage.
