I have now switched my allegiance. After watching Bill and Brady in their pressers, I suspect Pete is less of a cheater than the Pats combined.

Because the NFL will do nothing about this (other than fine the Pats and make them give up a draft choice), there is no accusation that Pete cheated (this time). Go Seahawks.

Yeah, I don't get it, I love how it's like a top story on everything from ESPN to USA Today to Fox News. Though I personally think Bill and Co. did it and knew about it, I don't really care and it sure as hell had very little to do with them stomping Indy.

The people talking about the effect on stomping Indy are missing the point.  You can't allow people to cheat and only punish it if you think it impacted the game.  They still cheated and did so before Indy was stomped.  That said, fine/pull draft picks and move on.  People talking about benching Brady or firing Bellichick are idiots.

Won't watch. Boring matchup.  Might try to catch a few of the commercials.

The refs approved the balls in pregame though. And handled them between every play, but saw nothing wrong. This is a total non issue

They approved them 2.5 hours before the game and then the ball boy or whatever took them.  They pulled the balls in the first half.

I don't think it effected the game but that is irrelevant to me.  The Pats did something blatantly against the rules to gain an advantage in the playoffs.  They should be punished.

Oh well if the balls were pulled in the first they were definitely helping the Colts more. Should have kept those deflated balls

FWIW, a 40 degree temp drop (from outside to inside) could cause a drop off ~1 psi, so there's half of it

Brady and Bellichick should be suspended from the Super Bowl, imo.

Have I mentioned that the end result of the game is irrelevant?  They cheated before they knew the end result.  Nobody is saying put the Colts in the Superbowl (though I wish someone would just to troll everyone).  All I'm saying is do the punishment that is listed in a severe fashion for the crime that was committed.  The punishment is fine/draft pick then fine them and pull a 2nd rounder.

after they fine the pats or whatever the nfl should consider, I don't know, not letting teams be in charge of balls used in games

I heard that Katy Perry is going to do something drastic at halftime to fuel her rivalry with Taylor Swift. (apparently they hate each other) should be a good watch!

Or instead of each team providing their own set of balls maybe just have the home team be responsible for providing a set of balls that both teams use.  That's how it works in baseball.  Since both teams are using the same balls it pretty much eliminates the incentive to manipulate the balls although theoretically a weak hitting team might try to deaden balls if they were playing against a power hitting team.

That would be crazy.  If not every important Patriots player or coach gets suspended, the game should be canceled and the Seahawks declared champions at a giant ceremony at their own stadium.

The Patriots should have to replay the game against the Colts tomorrow. That way they could settle this fair and square.

It's a terrible matchup with two hated teams. We're all over the pats and I hate Pete Carroll.

ESPN should hire Nick Russell to replace Darren Rovell.
