State income tax code is the absolute worst, like everywhere, well at least the states I live in. Iowa tried to tax a house I own in Kansas as income so I didn't file state last year, eff them, this state and their 3 auditors can  :comeatme:

Yea Iowa is a shockingly complicated return. Super annoying for such a piece of crap state. I understand New York and Cali having complicated returns, but Its just Iowa.

You pay state income taxes first in the state where your residence is. The word residence has a legal meaning, and it is essentially where you to live the majority of the year. The PR gal at the Royals doesn't just fill in a state postal code and then the DOR from every other state lays down, which is what edna thinks.

Sam is clown suiting butthurt libtards, per usual.

This is isn't true, you pay state income taxes on where it's earned first, then if you don't get a credit for taxes paid to other states, you'll have to pay the state you reside in too.

If you think someone who lives in a state for 7-8 months isn't paying income taxes in that state, you are crazy.

what if Texas got rid of any semblance of taxes of any kind, and renamed itself Taxless. boom, instantly best state with best everything, and it's not even close.

A ton of people that work in Mo and live in KS pay no income taxes to KS. I mean you'll pay income tax on capital gains in the state you reside. But you pay taxes to the state you work in first.

i cannot think of a single reason anyone should have to pay taxes to the state they work or live in. you literally get nothing in return for it, other than funding yoga mat material in your bacon, and planned hamburger butchering your innocent babies while they yuk it up over cab & brie, smdh

Or less government? I like where you're going with this. Taxes are way too complicated.

Interstate taxes are always going to be complicated. Not much you can do to keep governments from trying to get their money. I mean I'm sure you'd like every state to not have income taxes but that's not realistic unless your state has the oil FL and TX have.

It's more realistic than you might think. Property taxes ensure that people who actually own land in a state pay taxes to that state to help pay for all the services that support the property. Toll roads ensure that people who actually use roads pay more for them, and they're not so annoying now that everything's wireless. Sales taxes works, too. Income tax is actually pretty stupid.

Income tax isn't stupid, its just the tax your side hates the most for some reason. Sales tax is a much worse tax in my opinion. But we obviously won't agree on that.

He will come back in a little while, throw around some personal insults and then loudly proclaim that he won the hand with a jack, an ace, an eight, a two, and a skip-bo card.
