this is fantastic. state colleges and jucos should have no out of pocket charge to students for tuition, this is a great step forward

YES! I was just talking with someone about how free higher public education would be cheaper than our current system of grants and subsidized loans and constantly inflating tuition.

Not sure, haven't been there for awhile after they started to plummet, but I'm sure it would kill my current job. Which I need to pay my student loans. #fml

This is funnier than the "forgive all student loan debt" charade because is (a) just as unlikely to ever happen - as in, not gonna - and (b) it's a big eff you to the student loan debt crowd. Bravo big spender! Bravo!

If I were president I'd buy everybody cars so they could drive to community college. Then I'd buy them lunch at the chic-fil-a in the student union once a week. Everybody has a right to 2 years of college, transportation to get there and a free lunch. That's my motto.

Half the challenge I have at my job is no one has transportation to meet with me to go to school. The other half is they're lazy pieces of crap. Even if this would ever pass, a lot of turds would never take advantage of it.

you should have to have 20% of the total cost of you education IN CASH before you can go to college.
