Size of Offense
« on: April 16, 2010, 03:12:03 PM »
possible line up on the field offensively this fall.

QB - Klein 6-5 235
RB - Thomas 6-2 228
FB - Wilson 6-3 245
WR - Harper 6-1 230
WR - Smith 6-2 210
TE - McDonald 6-8 282
OT - Foteki 6-5 340
OG - Kendall 6-2 312
C - Weibert 6-4 303
OG - Mayfield 6-4 338
OT - Aufner 6-5 300

somebody tell that half-pint Aufner to do some more eating. He's letting us down when we're trying to go big.  ;)

Fatty, I fear for your safety when we go 4-8 this year. Seriously, don't do anything to...hurt yourself.......

Is that Mayonaise guy really starting at LT, or is he just the fattest guy you could find?  I figured it would be Hanson, who's also 300+

That was the average of the entire O-line prince's first year.

Anyone notice how much bigger our players have gotten since Snyder showed Prince to the door?  The size we are putting on the field is nearing NFL-esque. :excited:

Do we want size on defense too?  Or do we still want speed?

I don't think we have much speed on our entire team so I vote we go fattness on both sides of the ball

I don't know. I believe it. Tall people are deceptively heavy.

Agreed. I want a whole lineup of these guys:

We didn't really use much split-back sets under Snydes did we?

Not much.  But I do distinctly remember running split back and sneaking out David Allen from the backfield for a long pass play (don't remember if it was a TD or not) against UT in Austin (the Wefald trash talk game).

You do have to laugh at Prince's whole "undersized, run and hit" load of B.S.

Not that I am currently a huge fan of OB, but my gawd, what a con man Prince was.
