Good leaders and motivators can get their team to play like that every night. They shouldn't need the big stage to get it done.

I used to think the problem was oscar. Today I thought the problem was oscar. Then I watched our guys execute tonight. oscar has clearly taught them how to play basketball, nights like tonight don't just happen.

The baylor game is the one that mind fucks you. So many stupid mistakes. Hopefully with experience next year, we can step it up.

Why don't opposing players who bury 3s despite sideline antics stare down oscar like this flood aggie did Marcus?

The coincidence is way too strong there.  I first thought it would have to be a mistake. I did like Cartier, though.

“It’s a learning process,” Weber said. “You play well against Texas Tech, you have to come back the next game and play better against a better team. They want to win. It’s Martin Luther King Day and no school — we start school (Tuesday) — and they’re in here this morning working on their shooting and in the weight room getting better, and that’s all you can ask for.”

K-State plays Wednesday at No. 13 Baylor, and Drew expects an intense game.

“He’s done a tremendous job,” Drew said of Weber. “Anytime you have that much turnover, it’s hard to get guys to jell and buy in right away. Since day one, it looks like they’ve done that. They play extremely hard and fight you for every possession. It looks like he enjoys coaching this group and it looks like they enjoy playing together. It looks like they’ve bought into what he instills, which is that toughness and team effort and attitude.”

i'm going to google it in two seconds, but i honestly don't know if we play tonight or tomorrow, or at all until saturday. i haven't cared this little about k-state hoops in a long, long time. if ever. when we were bad before, i was too young and naive to really know what i was missing.
