Here's the problem; if he's lying, he's probably trying to take some of the pressure off of a sophomore and freshman.

if it's his decision, i think he's probably just trying to make it sound more like he's in control of more than he is.  if he's been told to not release the reason (has kstate ever released that a player has been suspended for a drug policy violation?) it's probably just a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) a.d. policy from a time when a.d.'s thought townie fans would hide in their bunkers if they knew drug-maddened players were roaming the streets of their fair city, and weber is just muddling through the lying as best he can.

I can tell you for a fact that this is an AD suspension and out of oscar's hands.

Maybe he'll get pissed off like Frank and take the head coaching gig at Penn State or Oregon State or something.

I just gave you two of that would be tickled. Really, every power 5 team who wants to be okay at bball and not get the AD, and by extension the football team, in trouble would be glad to have him.

Oregon State is undefeated at home this season with wins over UCLA and Arizona, and they're sitting at 16-7 overall and 7-4 in the Pac 12.  Their new coach, Wayne Tinkle, has them on the verge of their first NCAA tournament appearance since 1990.  They've also got two Rivals top 100 4-star recruits signed for next year (one of them is the coach's son) and four total top 150 commitments.  There's absolutely no way they would want oscar Weber.  I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Who would have thought defending Wayne Tickle and Oregon State basketball would be the tipping point.

Montana actually has a pretty impressive coaching tree:

Jud Heathcote
Mike Montgomery
Stew Morrill
Larry Krystkowiak
Wayne Tinkle

I don't know what's more humorous, him wanting to give Weber one more year even though he thinks he should be fired, or the thought that Tony Bennett would leave his current gig to come coach at K-State.

I wonder if KSU Hoops has ever had a season when their last win was in January? Is there an easy way to google that?

And...?  How is this relevant to the discussion?  Do you think Oregon State has more talent than UCLA?

I think it's probably relevant because you brought up them beating UCLA.  Something that could have been brought to my attention yesterday!
