I've found that some Sublime (What I Got, for instance) works wonders, if we are talking about the category of songs sung and played on guitar at the same time.

I think Sublime classifies as classic. And the thought did cross my mind when commenting on Glycerine, but I just don't think it's stood the test of time. FWIW, I don't even really care all that much for Sublime.

need more context.  Is Luke starting a cover band and they got a gig lined up?  Or is Luke that guy that brings out his guitar at the party?

If Luke just started a cover band he needs to figure out which girl at the show is his favorite and lock eyes while playing chicken nuggets Pie by Led Zeppelin.

If Luke is being guitar guy at the party, and somebody doesn't come give him the ass beating he so richly deserves, then Crash Into Me or you know what pretty much any DMB or OAR or <insert jam band> song for that matter.  But Crash Into Me might have the easiest chord progression so he can spend more time making eye contact and stuff

serious question is that like, even a thing anymore?  Seems like that kinda thing got stamped out years ago.  I can think of maybe 1 party i've been to where such behavior was acceptable, and that was because everyone at that party were pretty close bros and they all liked to play guitar so they would sit around and jam and learn each others songs and stuff.

serious question is that like, even a thing anymore?  Seems like that kinda thing got stamped out years ago.  I can think of maybe 1 party i've been to where such behavior was acceptable, and that was because everyone at that party were pretty close bros and they all liked to play guitar so they would sit around and jam and learn each others songs and stuff.

i was at a party last week and didnt have my guitar so i had to borrow one from the guy who lived there to play for a few girls. 2 of the 3 girls were dating guys there though and the last one was their friend so she had to go home with them. but it totally works.
