Peggy Po'sI'M IN LOVE WITH THE NI-NO Some times I think he brings the kilo, sometimes I'm yelling "BAKIN SODA! I GOT BAKIN SODA!" Tonight in the immortal run-on words of oscar "Nino had a triple double in points, rebounds and 11 on the play hard chart." His baseline jumper and elbow J's are good, he actually hit the boards hard in a game with little Gip and no Hurt. He was our most consistent player tonight.
X marks the spot. The spot is about 24 feet out on the wing. That is where I want Marcus Foster to throw basketballs at the hoop from. The top of the key? Sure! Corner? If he can get the ball there! No 2pt'rs unless they are dunk shots or dribble drives. The rest of the team will focus on screening, rebounding and passing him the ball. In fact, I would prefer if he took the ball up the court just to be sure. I want to try this lineup for a good 4 minutes the next game: 1- Nigel 2- Foster 3- Harris 4- Nino 5- Gip Is that so much to ask for? Is that so unreasonable?
Nigel played solid D tonight It was nice to see him get a play run for him and to hit the 3 before the half. We never, ever, ever do that and it was nice to see us execute before the half for once. He had some boneheaded plays- the botched steal, some badly executed fast breaks and his hilarious "3rd times a charm" layup practice after getting fouled on a breakaway at half court.
For Your Halftime Entertainment....The Swinging Spurs! Kansas State's Two-Steppin' Dance Team!
They were everything I could've asked for and more. Legitimately talented and entertaining. Will look in to booking for FattyFest.
Nancy Neg'sThat's the ticket! Haunting us from Los Angeles was Jack Karapetyan on tonight's ticket. A truly representative performance in tribute. The worst single half of offensive basketball in Bramlage Coliseum history. Well done Jack!
Gip can't handle the double teams This issue must get resolved. Gip is catching the ball in bad spots, is incapable of dribbling out of it, plays way too slow to play through it and is not a good passer. That said, Gip certainly does not get any help from our perimeter spacing. No one shows for the ball, no one calls out who's man is coming on the double, no one cuts to open space. We do stand around. When we do move, usually the moron at the high post, short corner or opposite block positions himself directly in the clogged passing lane so he can be guarded by the double team leading to a turnover.
Tre Harris played one minute of basketballJevon is still terrible at playing point I don't like his game at all. I like his defense and want him out there, just not running the offense. The ball sticks with him, he throws bad passes, he makes poor decisions, he can't run a fast break, he is not a threat to shoot and he doesn't pass or finish off his drives particularly well. His A/TO numbers will continue to get worse if his minutes stay as high as they are now. Nigel should be playing more and they should not be playing together unless there are two very small guards or there is some sort of emergency. I don't understand at all why he is given such a long leash. He takes touches away from Marcus all the time and it infuriates me.
Hopper is Quentin Buchanan I'm not even kiddingWes looks Hurt He looks worse than last year. Not sure if he is still banged up, or if the time out has hurt his conditioning but he played 15 min. and when he came out of the game at one point his chest was heaving like me running my patented "about 2 miles give or take a mile" that I run 6-12 times a year. As for Stephen, he did not play in the game and I hope he gets back soon because Malek Harris is a horror show.
Malek Harris- 15 minutes, 0 pts, 1 reb, 2 fouls, 1 A, 3 TO
Rick Hartzell is an embarassment
