being an intern for k-state athletics is the dumbest thing in the entire world

quite a few of them move on to get GA spots at BCS schools.

it wasn't because of that. It looked good on a resume. It was because of what we actually did while there.

correct

What office were you guys in?

marketing

positive: pass to get onto field/court/wherever at every game

negative: everything else

my positive was kids asking for my autograph at football games because they thought I was a player that just wears slacks to the games or something.

So, I can confirm something major is going to happen tomorrow, but he wouldn't tell me what. Heard from a B source that works as an Intern in K-State athletics.

Interns usually don't know anything "major" would love to know which intern you know.

Yeah Snyder isn't telling an intern what he puts in his coffee, he sure isn't telling an intern that. Currie will find out about 15 minutes before an official announcment is made.

I thought you don't troll

15 minutes may be a bit much, I don't think that is enough to get the press release out, but it isn't going to be some process. He's going to make a decision, tell John, and thats that. Finding a football coach isn't something you can sit on for a couole of days. Also this isn't the type of news that sits on a shelf. The first time around the athletic department was absolutely Bill's fiefdom and he couldn't stop the leaks.

I walked around with sunglasses on acting like I had an earpiece in that game. It was like I was a k state secret agent.

Makes sense, the work is in the ticket office.

of course later I learned that any jackass can just walk right onto our football field during a game and not get in trouble so that made the internship appear less cool

Also the fact that hours of my internship consisted mostly of me folding various things or taking things out and putting things away.

No I do. I was fine with it except that they promised a bunch of marketing experience in the interviews.

yeah it was a bait and switch.  I didn't mind doing that stuff but they basically just lied to everyone through the whole interview process.

fyi, the coffee tastes like pretty normal shitty office coffee.  Very underwhelming for a perennial college football powerhouse.

On the plus side working an unpaid internship for a year really helps you learn how to be awesome at living at the poverty level.

I'm not hearing anything from people way above the intern level.

is that the game in manhattan where they kept playing some rocking version of "saturday night's alright for fighting?"
I want to wake up in a city that never sleeps, etc.
