I throw my used plastic bags into the garbage so I never have to look at them again.

btw, i met a dog this summer that was trained to throw away its own crap.  the owner had to place the crap in a bag; then the dog would take the bag and place it in the nearest trashcan.

Was the bag reusable?

when i first came up with my idea to sew reusable bags into clothes, i didn't have a sewing machine. i ordered one online but it took over a week to get to my house. anyway in between that time i had to go to the store and get some things so i put on a pair of old sweat pants, duck taped the ankle part to my ankle and then when it came time to bag, i just opened up the top and had them throw every thing down there.

Ditto.

Also use them for liners in the tiny trashcan in my bathroom.

They charge 5 cents per paper bag here, and I'm fine w/that.  I did buy a pretty big reusable bag from target one time when I'd bought a ton of stuff and wanted to have just one thing to carry.  I reused it for the first time last night when making a trip to multiple places.  The bed bath & beyond girl said "whoa, this is like industrial!"  <-- that's what she said

I've been shopping at Aldi's for a couple years now so this concept is not new to me.  Quarter for cart situation is a little strange but you get used to it.

Pro-tip, Trim: If you go to Chinatown or basically any business owned by an Asian family they give zero effs about this law and you get all the plastic bags you can handle.

Yeah, so are the plastic bags not allowed when you get take-out food? I mean, who wants all the possible spills in their nice clean reuseable bag?

I can only speak for Austin's ordinance, but here are the exceptions:

§ 15-6-123 - EXEMPTIONS.
This article does not apply to:

(1)
Laundry dry cleaning bags, door-hanger bags, newspaper bags, or packages of multiple bags intended for use as garbage, pet waste, or yard waste;
(2)
Bags provided by pharmacists or veterinarians to contain prescription drugs or other medical necessities, only if the bags are recyclable within the City of Austin residential recycling program;
(3)
Bags used by restaurants to take away prepared food, only if the bags are recyclable within the City of Austin residential recycling program; and
(4)
Bags used by a consumer inside a business establishment to:
(a)
Contain bulk items, such as produce, nuts, grains, candy, or small hardware items,
(b)
Contain or wrap frozen foods, meat, or fish, whether or not prepackaged,
(c)
Contain or wrap flowers, potted plants or other items to prevent moisture damage to other purchases, or
(d)
Contain unwrapped prepared foods or bakery goods; and
(5)
Bags used by a non-profit corporation or other hunger relief charity to distribute food, grocery products, clothing, or other household items.

then you're a dumbass and nothing can help you
i'm not though, always have 2 bags in my trunk at all times

Yep, let's take out all spontaneity from life. If you are too dumb to have planned out every trip to the grocery store from now to the end of your life you are a complete loser!

I'm sorry but you pro disposable bag ban bafoons can't in any way claim having to always bring some stupid rough ridin' bags with you to the store is superior to having them give them to you.

I beg to differ.
