My thoughts exactly... Everybody, to a man/woman, went outta their way to be super nice and welcoming too both before and after the game. What's odd to me is the fact that although TCU has had more success over the past 10 years, their fans acted more "new to all this" when we played there this season.
That giant pre-game party tent area thingy that George's does across MLK from the stadium is pretty kickass too.
we had one dude right behind us who was super obnoxious, pissed off everyone in the section including other BU fans, but I don't get too bothered by that, happens everywhere. plus I think this dude had a social disorder of some kind. everyone else was nice enough, pretty standard fanbase.
Auburn fans are the best out of all the schools I've been to. Our fan base is way worse. Just a bunch of old men with inferiority complexes. So sad!
can confirm
Why is the metalhead v fanning beef still a thing? Did I miss something or did wacky just take a pot shot at him for no reason?
About mclane, sure the inside bowl around the field was nice. Sound system and ribbon boards were incredible. It felt a little bit like a roman coliseum. But there were so many things that were very small time-y and felt like a high school game. Like not having tv's or anything at all to keep you engaged in the game when you're standing in line for what seems like forever to get a drink, when they only have bottled dr pepper and water. There was an AstroTurf area where little kids played football and every once in a while a ball gets thrown into the ga area. Lots of weird things.
yeah a lot of weird cheap touches. maybe they'll add more stuff moving forward. the bathroom had manual flush toilets which I thought was kind of odd for a new stadium. also we were on the 300 level, but nowhere as you walk into the place is there anything that says how to actually get there. there's a ramp with a sign that says 200 level but not 300 so it was a bit confusing. we just took that ramp and it went up there but it wasn't clear where to really go. it's like they have this great stadium but half assed a lot of details. took a ludicrous amount of time to get back to 35 on MLK too, really bad job directing traffic. still a great stadium and the setting is cool with the river and the lagoon and stuff.
